Yaning Wu is a Co-Founder at WordSmith, focusing on developing a predictive text teleprompter for individuals with word retrieval challenges, and is involved in the Global Disability Innovation Hub's Accelerate programme. Currently serving as a Research Assistant at the University of Florida's Center for Arts in Medicine, Yaning is collaborating on a scoping review regarding the wellbeing impacts of visual art. As a Researcher for the University of Brighton Donor Research Team, Yaning is undertaking a systematic review on acute care access for sickle cell disease in the UK. Additional roles include being a Student Ambassador and Exam Invigilator at Trinity Hall, Founder of the UCL Data Visualisation Society, President and Charity Campaigns Tester at Impero, and Head of Social Media for MedSupplyDrive UK. Yaning has also contributed to community projects and served as a Journalism Intern at Carbon Brief. Currently pursuing a PhD in Public Health and Primary Care at the University of Cambridge, Yaning holds an MSc in Global Health Science and Epidemiology from the University of Oxford and a BSc in Population Health Sciences from UCL.
