Ian Hartner

Director of Data Engineering and Scrum Master at IMPLAN

Ian Hartner has worked at a variety of companies since 2009. Ian began their career at hhgregg as an Audio/Video and Appliance salesperson. In 2010, they moved to United Way of Central Carolinas as a Loaned Executive. The following year, they took on multiple roles at Charlotte Rescue Mission as a Development Officer (Temporary Position), at Freedom School Partners as a Development Assistant, and at Re-Supply as a Director of Development (Volunteer Position). In 2013, they joined Randall-Reilly as an ETL Developer, edadata.com as a Fulfillment Intern, and CPCC REACHIT as a Department of Labor Scholarship Recipient. From 2017 to 2018, they worked at Allstate as a Systems Analyst, and then at IMPLAN as a Lead Data Warehouse Engineer and Scrum Master.

Ian Hartner has a diverse educational background. In 2013, they received a Department of Labor REACH IT Scholarship Recipient from Central Piedmont Community College in the field of Business Intelligence. From 2007 to 2009, they earned a M.A. in Theology and Public Policy from Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia. Ian also obtained a B.M. in Music Industry/Religion from Capital University between 2001 and 2005. In addition, they have a Coursera Verified Certificate in An Introduction to Interactive Programming in Python (Part 1) obtained in July 2015.
