Jose M. Saavedra

Jose M. Saavedra has had a long and varied career in academia and industry. Jose M. began their career in 2001 as an Academic at Universidad Nacional de Trujillo. In 2012, they joined Orand S.A. as Chief R&D Officer and Computer Vision Researcher. In 2013, they became a Part-Time Professor at the University of Chile. In 2014, they took on a Part-Time Professor role at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. In 2015, they co-founded Impresee and served as Director of Impresee eCommerce Labs. Most recently, in 2021, they assumed the role of Assistant Professor at Universidad de los Andes (CL).

Jose M. Saavedra obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Universidad Nacional de Trujillo from 1996 to 2000. Jose M. then went on to obtain a Master of Science (MSc) in Computer Science from the same university from 2004 to 2006. Finally, they completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science from the Universidad de Chile in 2012.
