Eric Tachibana is currently an advisor at Impress. Eric was previously with Citihub from April 2012 to June 2014, where they were an Associate Partner. At Citihub, they were responsible for the technology strategy underlying the Global Regulatory Project Portfolio. Eric was also the Chief Operating Officer for the APAC Chief Technology Office, responsible for business management, enterprise applied innovation, and strategy, marketing, and engagement across Asia Pacific for investment banking, wealth management, and asset management technology groups.
Before joining Citihub, Tachibana worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch from April 2007 to January 2012. During their time there, they served as the COO Asia Pacific covering Banking, Markets, and Wealth Management Technology & Operations. In this role, they put in place a strong organization from the ground up, driving global change from the region through risk identification and remediation, governance, controls enhancement initiatives, compliance management, and communications & reporting. Eric also served as the COO for the APAC Global Corporate, Commercial, and Investment Banking Technology group and helped migrate processes, tools, controls, and best practices from GMRT to GCCIBT.
Prior to their work at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Tachibana was with Merrill Lynch Global Service Center – Singapore from 2007-2008 where they rapidly scaled up the center from start-up to a mature organization. Eric designed and implemented critical operational processes and controls including program management, financial and workforce management
Eric Tachibana received their MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management, where they studied business administration and management. Eric also holds a MA from The George Washington University in science, technology, & public policy in international affairs, as well as a BA/BA from University of California, Los Angeles in anthropology/political theory. Eric Tachibana also has a diploma from John Marshall High School. In addition, they have certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.
