Dr. Dirk Dreissig

Dr. Dirk Dreissig has worked in a variety of roles in the field of energy and polymer chemistry. From 2006 to 2008, they were a Senior Polymer Chemist at Solicore, where they developed polymer electrolytes for thin, flexible, non-flammable primary lithium metal batteries. From 2008 to the present, they have been a Member of Technical Staff at AVX, where they have been involved in new product development of military and medical wet electrolytic tantalum capacitors. Dr. Dirk has also worked as a Senior Scientist at Imprint Energy since 2019.

Dr. Dirk Dreissig obtained their Diplom in Chemie from Freie Universität Berlin in 1995. Prior to that, they obtained their Vordiplom in Analytische Chemie from Freie Universität Berlin in 1992. Dr. Dirk also holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Materials Chemistry from The University of New Mexico.
