Donald S. has extensive work experience in various roles within the technology industry. Donald is currently serving as the Director of Data Engineering at Improving, where they oversee data engineering projects. Prior to this, Donald S. owned and operated RWB Systems, LLC, providing custom software and IT services.

Donald S. has also worked as a Senior Lecturer/Teaching Specialist at the University of Minnesota, where they developed and taught courses on Big Data Engineering concepts. Additionally, they served as an Adjunct Instructor at St. Cloud State University and Anoka-Ramsey Community College, teaching computer science courses.

In terms of industry experience, Donald S. worked as a Senior Solution Architect at phData, Inc., leading projects in implementing big data pipelines and machine learning engineering for industries such as real estate, GIS, natural resources, and more. Donald also worked at Target as a Lead Business Intelligence Engineer and as a Senior Systems Engineer, where they were involved in enterprise systems and served as a subject matter expert.

Donald S. received their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from St. Cloud State University, where they studied from 2000 to 2003. Donald later pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Software Engineering at the University of Minnesota from 2014 to 2016. In addition to their formal education, Donald obtained various certifications related to data analysis and programming. Donald completed several online courses on platforms such as Coursera and DataCamp, earning certificates in subjects like R programming, data manipulation, data visualization, and reproducible research. Donald also obtained the AWS Certified Developer – Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in October 2020.
