Gulnara Akhundova

Gulnara Akhundova serves as the Regional Director for Eastern Europe and Global Response at IMS (International Media Support) since September 2008, leading a diverse team of 20 individuals focused on promoting media freedom and combating disinformation. Previously held roles at IMS include Head of Global Response Department, Team Leader for Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia, and Programme Manager for the ECCA Department, where initiatives centered on media law reform, advocacy for free expression, and strengthening local civil society. Prior experience includes serving as Account Director at McCann Erickson and Public Affairs Head at International Medical Corps. Gulnara Akhundova's educational background includes studies at the Institute of Law and Economy and school NO 150.
