Digital Content Officer at IN-PART

Dagmara Szmaglinska has a diverse range of work experience. Dagmara most recently worked as a Digital Content Officer at IN-PART starting in 2023. Prior to this, they held multiple roles at The University of Sheffield, including a 301 Academic Skills Centre Intern and a Student Panel Member. In these roles, they contributed to marketing strategies, managed social media, designed promotional materials, and provided feedback to enhance the student experience. Dagmara also worked as a Summer Research Student in the Biomedical Science Department, where they conducted research projects focused on improving equality, diversity, and inclusion in the curriculum. Additionally, Dagmara gained experience as a Laboratory Research Intern at the University of Sheffield Medical School, Department of Oncology and Metabolism, where they conducted research on DNA damage repair in cancer cells. Before their academic roles, Dagmara worked as a Restaurant Assistant at the COSMO Restaurant Group, where they provided exceptional customer service and improved their communication and problem-solving skills. Dagmara also worked as a Website Developer & Digital Content Creator for the Chula charity, where they contributed to creating a user-friendly online platform. In addition, Dagmara worked as a Biology Tutor at MyTutor.co.uk, where they helped students excel in biology by providing personalized study plans and engaging lessons. Lastly, Dagmara has a background in ballet and worked as a Ballet Dancer at Opera Nova w Bydgoszczy, showcasing their skills on stage and maintaining strong work ethics.

Dagmara Szmaglinska's education history begins with their completion of a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Biomedical Sciences from The University of Sheffield, which took place from 2019 to 2022. Prior to this, they graduated with distinction from VI Liceum Ogólnokształcące im. Jana i Jędreja Śniadeckich, where they studied Biology and Chemistry from 2016 to 2019.

Following their undergraduate degree, Dagmara pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Advanced Cell & Gene Therapies at The University of Sheffield from 2022 to 2023.

In addition to their academic achievements, Dagmara has obtained several certifications. These include Statistical Analysis of Biological Data in R from Sheffield Bioinformatics Core in March 2023, Research and Human Tissue Legislation from the Medical Research Council in November 2022, Digital Skills: Digital Marketing from FutureLearn in May 2021, Tools and techniques for Student Mental Health from Mind in April 2021, Bacterial Genomes: Disease Outbreaks and Antimicrobial Resistance from FutureLearn in August 2020, Food Allergy Online Training from the Food Standards Agency in January 2020, and IELTS - CEFR Level C1 from the British Council in June 2019.
