Jennifer Nelson

Ms. Nelson’s career at In-Q-Tel (IQT) spans nearly 14 years and various functions that empower her with vast and deep understanding of the company and the mission it serves. She serves as Executive Vice President, International where she directs IQT’s overseas investment activities as well as the expansion of IQT’s global footprint. She also serves as Chief of Staff, aligning priorities across the leadership team and developing and implementing business strategies designed to execute on the mission and vision of IQT. Previously, Ms. Nelson, as Senior Vice President of Portfolio Success, oversaw technology transfer from IQT’s Portfolio to the Intelligence Community through the program management function also leading several organizational process improvement and data analytics initiatives. Ms. Nelson spent five years managing the partnership with the Central Intelligence Agency ensuring strategic alignment and execution for their mission needs. She began her career at IQT as a program manager handling security investments for IQT.

Prior to joining IQT in 2009, she worked at IBM Corporation where she supported the public sector with technology strategy development. Ms. Nelson holds bachelor’s degrees in both Finance and Management as well as a Master of Business Administration from Virginia Polytechnic and State University and is a doctoral candidate at Vanderbilt University.
