Heidi Silk

R&d Project Engineer at Inari Medical

Heidi Silk has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. Heidi is currently working as an Associate R&D Project Engineer at Inari Medical since July 2022. Prior to that, they worked as an R&D Mechanical Engineering Intern at Dexcom from June 2021 to October 2021. At Dexcom, they were responsible for designing test fixtures, documenting test methods, and performing tests for future Continuous Glucose Monitors (CGMs).

Before their internship at Dexcom, Heidi was a team member at Cal Poly EMPOWER Student Association from October 2019 to June 2020. There, they contributed to the design of a portable wheelchair lift for a paraplegic Cal Poly student as part of the Portable Lift for Alex Formal Design Project.

Heidi also gained experience as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at ThinKom Solutions, Inc. from July 2019 to September 2019, where they designed and conducted tests to determine the power input required for specific flat-plate antennas to operate at a wider temperature range than usual.

Additionally, Heidi worked as a Math Tutor from January 2017 to June 2018 as a self-employed individual.

Heidi Silk began their education at Maranatha High School in 2014 and earned a High School Diploma in 2018. Heidi then pursued their Bachelor's degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo from 2018 to 2022.
