Sophie V. Vandebroek

Sophie is a seasoned C-level technology executive and a fellow of the Institute Electrical & Electronics Engineers holding 14 US patents. She is the founder of Strategic Vision Ventures, a strategic advisory firm, where she shares her expertise developing innovative concepts from fundamental research to commercial offerings. Sophie previously was the chief operating officer of IBM research, and was with Xerox for over 25 years, including a decade as their chief technology officer. Sophie serves as an independent non-executive director on the IDEXX Laboratories and the Wolters Kluwer N.V. boards and is a trustee at the Boston Museum of Science. She graduated with her masters in engineering from KU Leuven in Belgium, and earned her Ph.D. from Cornell University.
