INBO (Research Institute for Nature and Forest)
Sander Jacobs is a Senior Researcher at the Research Institute for Nature and Forest (INBO) since February 2013, focusing on the Nature & Society research group. Concurrently, Sander holds positions as a Guest Professor at Ghent University and as a Coordinating Lead Author for the global IPBES assessment on the diverse values of nature. Sander has served as a Science Officer for the Belgian Biodiversity Platform and as Co-Chair of the Ecosystem Service Partnership Steering Committee. Additional experience includes coordinating the BEES community of practice and past roles as a Scientific Collaborator at Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech and a Visiting Researcher at the BC3 Basque Centre for Climate Change. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Environmental Biology and a Master's degree in Biology with a focus on Ecosystem Management from the University of Antwerp, along with a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Ghent University.
