Roberto Ardon has extensive work experience in the field of data science and medical image processing. Roberto currently holds the role of Chief of Data Science at Incepto Medical since October 2018. Prior to this, they worked at Philips Research France for over 15 years, starting as a Research Engineer in September 2002 and eventually becoming a Senior Research Scientist and Project Leader. During their time at Philips, they led various projects focused on machine learning and medical image processing, including deep learning for organ segmentation and field of view localization, cross-modalities automatic organ localization, kidney analysis in 3D ultrasound, and organ shape learning. Roberto also worked on liver analysis in MR, segmentation tools for 3D segmentation, nuchal translucency measurement in fetal ultrasound imaging, liver veins segmentation in CT imaging, and breast tumor segmentation in ultrasound imaging, among other projects. In addition to their technical expertise, Roberto has experience in project management, research proposals, grants search, and supervision of PhD students and interns. Roberto is proficient in programming languages such as C++, C++*, C#, and Python, as well as software tools like Matlab, MS Visual Studio, and version control systems. Roberto has knowledge of various machine learning and image processing methods, including deep learning, support vector machines, wavelets, and convex optimization. Prior to their time at Philips, Roberto also worked as a Research Intern at Renault-Technocentre, where they focused on real-time algorithms for collision detection in a virtual environment using C++ and OpenGL.
Roberto Ardon began their education in 1998 at CentraleSupélec, where they pursued an Engineering Degree with a specialization in Applied Mathematics, specifically focusing on Information processing. Roberto completed their studies at CentraleSupélec in 2001.
In 2000, Roberto Ardon also enrolled at École normale supérieure, where they earned a Master's degree in Mathematics and Informatics (MVA). This program lasted for one year, ending in 2001.
After completing their degree at CentraleSupélec, Roberto Ardon continued their academic journey at Université Paris Dauphine - PSL in 2002. Roberto pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program in Applied Mathematics, emphasizing their expertise in this field. Roberto Ardon successfully completed their PhD in 2005.
Roberto Ardon's education demonstrates their strong background in Applied Mathematics, with a focus on information processing. The combination of their degrees from CentraleSupélec, École normale supérieure, and Université Paris Dauphine - PSL showcases their dedication to advancing their knowledge and expertise in this field.
