Peter Duckworth

Peter Duckworth has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Peter has held various roles throughout their career, starting as an Engineering Consultant at AEA Technology in 1995, where they worked on multiple consulting projects simultaneously. Peter then joined MSX International as a Lead Closures Analyst in 1998, where they conducted linear and non-linear FEA for automotive closures. Peter also provided Abaqus support for the automotive program. From 2004 to 2006, Peter worked as a Senior Analyst Engineer at Alcoa CSI, specializing in the development of closure technologies for the food and beverage industry. Peter used ProE to design closures, created Abaqus FEA models, and conducted lab tests to verify the designs.

Peter then joined Abaqus Central (Simulia) in 2006 as a Senior Application Engineer, providing consulting, technical support, and teaching services for the Abaqus software. Peter worked on diverse consulting projects across various industries. Subsequently, they worked at ATK as an Engineer IV from 2007 to 2008, where they provided design and analysis support for aerospace and space projects. Peter'sAbaqus expertise was utilized for mentoring and deployment purposes.

In 2008, Peter joined Robert Bosch as a Sr Engineer for a period of two years, before moving on to CTS Corporation as a Design Engineering Analyst from 2010 to 2012. At CTS Corporation, they were responsible for analyzing and designing engineering projects. During the same time frame, they also worked at Schlumberger as a Modeling & Simulation Engineer, focusing on simulation projects.

Peter's most recent role was at Inceptra, where they started as an Application Engineer for the Simulia product line in September 2012. Peter'sresponsibilities included presales and post sales activities, serving as a technical expert for Simulia applications. Peter later advanced to the role of Director of Simulation in January 2019. Overall, Peter Duckworth has developed a comprehensive expertise in simulation, engineering analysis, and consulting throughout their career.

Peter Duckworth completed their bachelor of mechanical engineering degree (BEng Hons) at the University of Glasgow from 1991 to 1995. Peter specialized in the field of mechanical engineering during this time.
