Rita Van den Abbeel has a diverse range of work experience, primarily in the field of risk management and compliance. Rita has held various roles at Incofin Investment Management, including Chief Risk & ESG Officer and Chief Risk & Compliance Officer. Their responsibilities in these positions included implementing risk and compliance policies, performing credit reviews, analyzing and monitoring different types of risks, and developing control systems. Rita has also worked as a Director at MFX Solutions and Rural Impulse Fund II, where they focused on microfinance and sustainable investments. Rita began their career as a Project Coordinator at ACT NGO and later worked as a Researcher at Catholic University of Louvain. Rita holds a master's degree and has a background in agricultural and finance sectors.
Rita Van den Abbeel completed their Master/ Engineer degree in Agronomy/ Agricultural Engineering at KU Leuven from 1981 to 1986.
