Bernard Tonascia

Bernard Tonascia is an accomplished tax professional with extensive experience in managing tax functions across various high-profile companies. Currently serving as Associate Director of Taxes for Europe at Incyte since May 2021, Bernard has previously held the position of Tax Director at Elanco from July 2015 to May 2021, where responsibilities included tax strategy, transfer pricing, and compliance for entities with CHF 3 billion in revenue. Notable achievements at Elanco include leading compliance for over 20 newly acquired entities and establishing operations across multiple regions. Prior to that, Bernard spent nearly two decades at Novartis Consumer Health, culminating in the role of Global Head of Tax, overseeing worldwide tax planning for different business units. Earlier experiences include positions at Ciba and Michel Jordi SA, alongside an impressive educational background with degrees from the University of Lausanne and the University of Geneva, complemented by executive education at Harvard Business School.
