Julia Carrozzo

Julia Carrozzo, PhD, is a highly experienced professional in the field of biophysics and pharmaceutical manufacturing technology. Currently serving as Director of Manufacturing Technology at Incyte since March 2022, Julia previously held positions including Associate Director and Manager of Validation at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, where responsibilities encompassed qualification of utilities and equipment, process validation, and compliance with GMP standards. Academic training includes a PhD in biophysics from EPFL, focusing on HIV viral particle assembly, with a postdoctoral fellowship at EPFL that contributed to two publications in the fields of HIV fluorescent labeling and computational physical virology. Julia's earlier research encompassed studies on influenza virus and advanced spectroscopic techniques at Humboldt University and participation in a prestigious Physiology summer course at the Marine Biological Laboratory.
