Shyamal Prasad

Shyamal Prasad is a highly experienced technical leader with a robust background in software engineering and architecture. Currently serving as a Technical Fellow at Indeed.com since August 2022, Shyamal previously held the position of Principal Engineer at Chegg Inc. from May 2017 to July 2022, where significant contributions included the development of data science models and ensuring platform reliability for the Internships product. Prior to that, Shyamal worked as a Data Architect at Ahalogy, introducing NoSQL methodologies and substantially reducing IT costs. Shyamal also gained experience as a Distinguished Engineer at Blinkx, focusing on scalable data platforms, and as Chief Architect and Vice President of Engineering at Rhythm NewMedia, leading engineering teams and developing mobile video advertising solutions. Shyamal holds an MS in Computer Science from Southern Methodist University and an MSc in Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
