Gina Comfort

Gina Comfort is an experienced Spanish teacher currently employed at Independence Charter School since January 2023, with prior teaching positions at One Bright Ray Community High School and Council Rock High School South. Gina also worked as an English Second Language Instructor at Meddeas and had roles as a Summer Camp Counselor at Center City Jewish Preschool. Gina's background includes substantial experience in child development and education, demonstrated through positions as a nanny and as a team leader for Jumpstart, where participation in the AmeriCorps program focused on preparing low-income preschool children for academic success. Leadership skills were further developed as President and Chapter Life Vice President of Alpha Xi Delta, managing members and events. Gina holds a Bachelor of Education in Secondary Education and Spanish from Temple University.
