Kyle Russell is a seasoned professional with over 30 years of experience in the electricity sector, currently serving as the Manager of Operations at the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) since 2000. Kyle is a NERC certified System Operator - Reliability Coordinator, with extensive expertise in control room real-time processes, NERC reliability standards, and nuclear plant operations. Previous roles at IESO include Senior Manager of System Operations, overseeing teams responsible for the real-time operation of Ontario's grid, training control room operators, and preparing settlement-ready data. Prior experience includes serving as a nuclear operator at Ontario Power Generation from 1992 to 2000.
