William Lu

William Lu has a solid work experience in the field of information security. William currently holds the position of CISO & Director of Information Security at the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO), a role they have held since December 2019. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Radical Werks from June 2017 to December 2019. William also worked as the VP, Head of Information Security at D+H from July 2015 to June 2017 and as the Global Information Security Officer - BCO Account at Fujitsu Canada from February 2014 to July 2015. Before these roles, they held various other positions in the information security field, including Head, IT Security Operations at Toronto Hydro from March 2009 to February 2014, Senior Security Consultant (Contract) at LoyaltyOne from October 2006 to March 2009, and IT Infrastructure Consultant at N3 Global Solutions Inc. from December 2002 to February 2006.

William Lu attended Champlain College from 2016 to 2022, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Cyber Security. Prior to this, they pursued Administrative Studies at York University. In addition to their academic achievements, they have acquired several certifications, including the Change Management Certificate from Harvard University in 2021 and a variety of technical certifications from ISACA, EC-Council, Fortinet, and Microsoft, among others, spanning from 2001 to 2021.
