Morgan Hunter

Research Fellow at Independent Institute

Morgan Hunter is a seasoned researcher and educator with extensive experience in academia and think tanks. Currently serving as a Senior Research Assistant at Stanford since June 2022, Morgan also holds the position of Research Fellow at the Independent Institute, a libertarian think tank focused on economic, social, and foreign policy, since September 2019. In parallel, Morgan has been a graduate student in the Classics Department at UC Berkeley since September 2011, where responsibilities include serving as a Graduate Student Instructor for Latin 1. Previous roles include working as a paralegal at ComputerLaw Group LLP, reviewing IP cases, and teaching Latin to middle school students at Bowman International School. Morgan earned a PhD in Classics and Classical Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Arts in Greek & Latin from Santa Clara University. Additional coursework in linguistics was completed at the Linguistics Society of America Institute in 2009.
