Troy Christensen

Troy Christensen has over 20 years of experience in various roles within the insurance industry. Troy currently serves as the Senior VP - Risk and Compliance at Independent Life, a position they have held since 2022. Prior to that, from 2019 to 2022, they worked as the Director of Compliance at Kuvare Holdings.

Before joining Kuvare Holdings, Troy worked as a Consultant at D.Vision, Inc from 2017 to 2019, where they reviewed and modified ads to comply with regulatory requirements and provided guidance on compliance matters. From 2016 to 2017, they served as the Director - Legal/Compliance at Homesteaders Life Company, where they were responsible for product development and provided legal support to senior management.

Troy also has experience at American Equity, where they worked as the AVP - Product Development and later as the Assistant Vice President & Compliance Counsel, overseeing compliance functions associated with product development and policy form drafting.

Earlier in their career, Troy worked at Brokers Health Insurance Network as the Executive Director / Corporate Counsel, and at Art Jetter & Company as the Corporate Counsel, where they provided legal and tax analysis and supported marketing efforts. Troy began their career at Brokers International as the VP / Corporate Counsel, where they played a significant role in the company's growth.

Additionally, they hold several certifications from LOMA, including Associate in Customer Service, Associate in Insurance Regulatory Compliance, Associate in Reinsurance Administration, and Fellow in Life Management Institute (FLMI).
