Doaa Nour

Doaa Nour is an accomplished film producer, freelance photographer, and production designer with extensive experience in various aspects of filmmaking and media. Currently a Film Producer at Arlington Independent Media since 2017, Doaa also operates as a freelance photographer through DoaaNour Photography. Since 2010, Doaa has worked as a Production Designer and Art Director on numerous films and TV programs, leveraging a strong art background from a Fine Arts education. Expertise extends to sound design and voice-over work in both English and Arabic, contributing to trailers, documentaries, and commercials since 2009. Past roles include hosting and producing live talk shows on Azhari TV and Al-Shabab TV, addressing contemporary social and feminine issues. Doaa holds a Master’s Degree in Cinematography and Film/Video Production from the American University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from Helwan University, alongside a graduate degree in General Islamic Studies from The High Institute for Islamic Studies.

Arlington Independent Media

Arlington Independent Media (AIM) is a nonprofit membership organization and community media center in Arlington, Virginia. We provide training and access to media technologies and facilitate the creation of video, audio, web and digital content. AIM is committed to cultivating the voices in our community that might otherwise not be heard. Since 1982, AIM has continuously provided a video production equipment, facilities, training, and access to a basic cable television channel to all on a first-come, first-served basis. Our members use their skills to produce powerful local media content that highlights the people, places, organizations, businesses and events in our community. Our video programming can be found on in Arlington County on the two public access cable television channels we operate: Comcast channel 69 and Verizon channel 38. With the launch of WERA-LP 96.7 FM, Radio Arlington (www.wera.fm) in December 2015, AIM continues to meet the needs of the diverse population of Arlington County and the DC metro area in exciting new ways. AIM's facility, located in Clarendon just off Wilson Boulevard, is equipped with the latest in media-making tools including an HD three-camera television studio, a state-of-the-art audio production suite, portable audio and video equipment, two editing stations, a Mac computer lab, a mobile production van, and more.
