Leah Ellis currently serves as a Social Emotional Learning Specialist in an independent school district, a position held since July 2024. Previously, Leah contributed to School District 197 as a Special Education Teacher and Team Lead, specializing in social emotional learning, language arts, and research-based reading instruction while collaborating with various stakeholders to support individualized programming for students with disabilities. Leah has experience providing private social skills instruction through Ellis Social Learning and has held significant roles at Spectrum Connections and Edina Public Schools, where responsibilities included case management for students with autism, equity coaching, and participation on the District Mental Health Advisory Board. Leah's educational background includes a Master’s degree in Special Education from Bethel University and a Bachelor’s degree in Child Development and Family Studies, with a minor in Human Relations and Multicultural Studies from St. Cloud State University.
