Jose Israel Mejia

Jose Israel Mejia is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the wind energy sector. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Independent Wind Solutions since December 2022, Jose previously held multiple roles at WindCom from April 2017 to November 2022, including Blade Services Technical Project Manager and Lead Blade Engineer. Responsibilities encompassed project management, technical documentation, quality assurance, and process design. Earlier experience includes positions as Project Coordinator at TRCC Construction and Assistant Project Coordinator at R & A Directional Boring, along with a role as a Teaching Assistant at Houston ISD. Jose holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Houston and an Associate of Science degree from Houston Community College.
