Kami I. is an experienced human resources leader with a comprehensive background in various HR roles. Currently serving as Chief Human Resources Officer at Independent Financial since August 2020, Kami has expertise in training and development, compensation and benefits, and global HR initiatives. Prior roles include Vice President and Director of Human Resources at Emerson Automation Solutions, as well as Human Resources Manager and Training & Development Manager at Regulator Technologies. Earlier in the career, Kami worked as an HR Analyst at Emerson Electric Co., focusing on compensation planning across multiple regions. Education includes a Master’s degree in Human Resources and Industrial Relations from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Illinois Wesleyan University.
