Angela Drysdale

Angela Drysdale has over 19 years of experience in technical writing and documentation. Angela is currently working at Index Exchange as the Director of Documentation, a role they have held since March 2022. Prior to that, they were the Technical Documentation Manager at Index Exchange from September 2019 to March 2022.

Before joining Index Exchange, Angela worked at BlackBerry for 13 years. Their roles at BlackBerry included Manager of BlackBerry Dynamics and SDK Documentation from May 2018 to September 2019, Team Lead of BlackBerry Dynamics and Developer Documentation from May 2017 to May 2018, Technical Writer/Project Manager from November 2015 to May 2017, and Technical Writer/Instructional Designer from June 2006 to November 2015.

Angela also has experience working at DALSA as a Technical Writer from September 2002 to June 2006. In this role, they were responsible for writing, designing, and researching technical documentation for the company, including user manuals, technical bulletins, online help, application notes, and training materials. Angela also developed content for the company's website using HTML, JavaScript, and ASP, and designed a prototype GUI for camera operation.

Prior to DALSA, Angela worked at Spicer Corporation as a Technical Writer from July 2001 to June 2002. Their responsibilities included updating end-user, system administrator, and ActiveX help for each new release, creating a Getting Started Guide for Spicer ActiveX controls, and providing peer reviews for team members' work.

Angela Drysdale has completed an Honours Bachelor's Degree in English from the University of Guelph. Angela also holds a Systems Analysis Post Graduate Diploma from Conestoga College. In 2017 to 2019, Angela obtained a Certificate in Digital Media Skills from OCAD University. Additionally, they have completed a Technical Writing course from Durham College. In terms of additional certifications, they have obtained the Python Programming Essentials certification from Rice University through Coursera in April 2018.
