Stephen Gorman has a diverse work experience in the field of analytics and data science.

Stephen is currently working as a Senior Manager of Analytics and Business Intelligence at Index Exchange since April 2021.

Prior to this, Stephen worked at Momentum Worldwide from 2016 to 2021. Stephen initially served as an Associate Director of Data Science & Analytics, where they led the first-ever data science department globally. Stephen was responsible for setting the department's scope, hiring, mentoring, and client management. Stephen also contributed to the growth of the department by over 300% in two years. Additionally, Stephen developed and managed Momentum's proprietary SaaS platform.

Before joining Momentum Worldwide, Stephen worked as a Data Scientist at Sportsnexa from 2015 to 2016. In this role, they collaborated with the founder/CEO to develop the business strategy and launch the company's first sports investment trading product. Stephen also led the data science and development departments, developing forward-looking business strategies and backtesting viable trading strategies for multiple sports.

Stephen's earlier experience includes serving as a Sports Data Scientist at the College of Charleston from 2013 to 2015. Stephen conducted research in the area of Sports Analytics for senior professors at both Davidson College and the College of Charleston.

Stephen also worked as a Mathematical Consultant at the United States Olympic Committee from January to July 2014. In this role, Stephen conducted research and employed supervised machine learning methods to predict the most probable winners of Olympic medals in both individual and team sports.

Furthermore, Stephen worked as a Researcher at Montana State University from 2012 to 2013. Stephen won first prize for their research in the NASA Space Grant Consortium's National Student Solar Spectrograph Competition. Stephen'sresearch focused on spectroscopy and involved creating mathematical and scientific models to analyze spectrograph data and determine temperature differences on the sun.

Stephen Gorman attended the College of Charleston from 2011 to 2015, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics.
