Mr. Gaurav Bhandari, a first class graduate in Economics Honours from Delhi University, is an alumni of Indian Institute of Management, Kolkata with specialisation in Finance and Marketing. He is a Cost & Management Accountant (CMA), a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB), a Certified Banking Compliance Professional of the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance (IIBF). He has been awarded Certificate in Risk in Financial Services by the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investments (CISI) and IIBF and has successfully completed the Leadership Development Programme for Senior Management of Public Sector Banks organised by Banks Board Bureau(BBB).

Mr. Bhandari has over 30 years of experience working in All India Financial Institutions in diverse areas such as risk management, compliance, corporate credit, international trade / investment finance, lines of credit, structured lending, handling stressed account and recovery, accountancy, liability side management, including the treasury function and foreign currency resource raising. He has also held the positions of Compliance Officer and Chief Risk Officer of the Bank. He has served as the Bank’s Resident Representative based in London and later as Chief Executive of the London Branch.

Prior to current responsibilities he was in charge of the Lines of Credit Group,a flagship program. His areas of interest include international trade finance, international debt capital markets and stressed asset management.
