Chandan Singh has a strong background in power generation and operation. Chandan started their career in 2008 with Vedanta Resources Plc, where they worked in BTG commissioning and operation. Chandan was responsible for tasks such as detergent flushing of pre-boiler systems and charging of feed water and condensate cycles. Chandan then moved on to Hindalco Industries Limited, where they continued their work in BTG commissioning and operation, focusing on ensuring safe and efficient operation of units. In 2014, they joined Wärtsilä as part of the planning and efficiency team, where they were responsible for achieving contract deliverables and assisting in the preparation of annual operation plans and budgets. Chandan then joined SKS Power Generation, where they served as a shift incharge for BTG commissioning and operation. Finally, they joined India Power as a Chief Manager in shift incharge role, where they were responsible for ensuring safe and reliable operation of units and handling major emergencies.

Chandan Singh completed their education in a chronological order starting with their Indian School Certificate in Science from STJMS during the years 2000 to 2002. Chandan then pursued a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Electrical Engineering from DIATM from 2003 to 2007. Afterward, they enrolled in NPTI Neyvelli for a Post Graduate Diploma Course in Thermal Power Plant Engineering from 2007 to 2008.
