Jayantha Thilakarathne

Jayantha Thilakarathne has extensive work experience in human resources and administration. Jayantha started their career as an Assistant Manager in Legal Administration at the State Plantation Corporation in 1996. Jayantha then went on to work as the Head of HR and Legal at Rocell Pty Ltd and Assistant HR Manager at Rusirumal (Pve) Ltd. In 2000, they joined LANKATILES as a Personnel Manager. Jayantha then worked as the Head of HR and Administration at Ceylon Agro Industries Ltd. from 2007 to 2008, and as the Group General Manager of HR and Administration at Maliban Group from 2008 to 2011. From 2011 to 2014, they served as the Chief HR Officer and Advisor to the Group CEO at Sri Lanka Telecom. Currently, they hold the position of Director HR at Taj Hotels, where they formulate HR strategies, promotes a culture of diversity and inclusion, and manages workplace safety and compliance. Jayantha also focuses on employee retention and contributes to the long-term goals of the organization.

Jayantha Thilakarathne completed an LL.M degree at the University of Colombo in 2013. Jayantha also obtained a Master's degree in Public Management (HR) from the Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration in 2009, and a PG Diploma in Public Management (HR) from the same institute in 2008. Jayantha earned a Diploma in Personnel Management from the National Institute of Business Management in 1997. Additionally, they hold an LL.B degree from the University of Colombo, which they completed in 1995. Thilakarathne also completed a Diploma in Computer Studies at the National Youth Center in 1990.
