K Anand Kumar

K Anand Kumar is the current Managing Director at Indian Immunologicals. K has over 25 years of experience in the biotech industry, with a focus on quality assurance and operations. Prior to their current position, Kumar served as Associate Vice President of Operations at Wockhardt from 2006 to 2010, Senior Technical Specialist of Quality Assurance at Pfizer Australia from 2003 to 2006, and Research Scientist of Global Vaccines R&D at MSD from 1998 to 2003. K also has experience as Head QC Microbiology/Virology at Fernz Health and Science Ltd from 1996 to 1998 and as Project Manager - Recombinant hep B vaccine at Transgene Biotek Ltd from 1992 to 1996. Under Kumar's leadership, Indian Immunologicals has become one of the leading vaccine manufacturers in India.

K Anand Kumar's educational career includes a Ph.D in Microbiology from the Vector Control Research Centre (I.C.M.R.), an M.Sc in Applied Microbiology from PSG College of Arts and Science, and a Bachelor of Science in Zoology/Animal Biology from PSG College of Arts and Science. K also has a +2 in Life sciences from St.Michaels Higher Secondary School, Coimbatore, and has attended Viswadeepthi Hr.Sec.School and Kotagiri Public School in the Nilgiris district.
