Yash Kumar Sahu

Yash Kumar Sahu is a research associate at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) since June 2023, focusing on generative AI, specifically in synthetic data generation using Diffusion Probabilistic Models, and 3D surface reconstruction via tactile sensing. Prior experience includes research internships involving Generative Adversarial Networks for synthetic image creation and contributions at the Guidance, Control, and Decision Systems Lab. Yash has served as a robotics software intern at Aerospace Engineers Private Limited, developing a full-stack mission planner for Autonomous Underwater Vehicles and an underwater buoyancy simulation. Additionally, Yash held leadership roles at Mars Research Station, overseeing budgeting and leading software development for Mars Rover projects with notable success in international competitions. Academic credentials include a Master of Technology and a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Information Technology Design & Manufacturing Kancheepuram.
