Mayank Rai

MAYANK RAI is a Research Scholar at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, focusing on the design optimization of auxetic metamaterials to mitigate intense localized loading, a position held since June 2019. Prior experience includes serving as a Junior Research Fellow at CSIR-AMPRI from January to June 2019, where the development of metallic foam for engineering and biological applications was undertaken. Additionally, MAYANK RAI completed a Master's Thesis as a Project Intern at Tata Motors, conducting fatigue analysis of welded joints using the effective notch (RADAJ) approach from February 2016 to March 2017. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (2019 - present), an M.Tech in Computer Integrated Design and Manufacturing from the National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur (2015 - 2017), and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Indira Gandhi Engineering College (2011 - 2015). Early education was completed at the School of Excellence in Betul (M.P.) from 2006 to 2010.
