Sibani Mahapatra

Sibani Mahapatra is a Doctoral Researcher at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, focusing on the experimental and computational analysis of shape memory green composites for aero-morphing applications since January 2021. Previously, Sibani gained valuable experience as a Research Intern at the Institute of Advanced Materials and served as a Junior Research Fellow at the National Institute of Technology Rourkela, where the research concentrated on the mechanical properties of cold-rolled Niobium-based aerospace alloys. Additional roles include a Dissertation Trainee position at the CSIR-Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology, focusing on mineral extraction and characterization, and internships at Hindalco Industries Limited and Vedanta Limited that provided industrial exposure in materials processing. Sibani holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, and an integrated M.Sc.Tech. in Material Science and Engineering from the Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology.
