Alka Bhushan

Alka Bhushan is a seasoned professional in the field of computer science and engineering with a robust academic and research background. Currently serving as Principal Project Scientist at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras since September 2023, Alka has previously held positions such as Technical Lead at PurpleTutor and Subject Matter Expert at upGrad, where oversight of master's theses in data science and machine learning was a key responsibility. Alka's extensive research experience includes a postdoctoral role at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and a volunteer researcher position at the University of Pittsburgh. Alka holds a PhD and MTech from the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, along with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Chaudhary Charan Singh University.
