Indian River School District
Dr. David Carter currently serves as the Principal of Indian River School District since July 2019 and has been an Adjunct Professor at Delaware State University since June 2015. Previously, Dr. Carter held the position of Assistant Principal at Lake Forest School District and was the High School Principal at Milford High School, where impactful initiatives included implementing attendance monitoring meetings and promoting college and career opportunities, resulting in significant scholarship earnings for students. Dr. Carter's early career includes roles in health and physical education teaching and sports performance coaching. Academically, Dr. Carter earned a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from Delaware State University, along with a Master's Degree and Bachelor's Degree in related fields.
