Toru Sakai

Toru Sakai has had a long and varied career in the technology industry. Toru began their career in 2002 as a Senior Technology Specialist at Philips Applied Technologies. In 2003, they joined E Ink Corporation as a Global Process Integration Manager. In 2011, they moved to SNRC (Samsung Netherlands R&D Center) as a Senior Technologist, and also began working at Philips Research as a Senior Technology Specialist. In 2013, they joined Liquavista / An Amazon Company as a Senior Technologist and Principal Technologist. In 2018, they became a Principal Engineer at CLEARink Displays. In 2020, they became a Global Partner at i-Buc, Ltd. (www.i-buc.com) and a Principal Engineer at Touch Biometrix Ltd, as well as founding OfficePHI.

Toru Sakai obtained an Associate degree in Electronics from Toyama National College of Technology between 1970 and 1975. Toru then went on to receive a Bachelor's Degree in Electronics from Saitama University between 1975 and 1977. Finally, they earned a Master's Degree in Physical Electronics from Tokyo Institute of Technology between 1977 and 1979.
