Adjunct Professor Of History at Indian River State College

Peggy Macdonald is an experienced educator and freelance writer with a robust background in history and education. Currently serving as a Teacher for Alachua County Public Schools since January 2022, Peggy teaches AP Seminar, AP Research, and advanced language arts. Peggy has also contributed to various publications as a Freelance Writer since April 2009, producing articles on Florida history and culture and authoring the book "Marjorie Harris Carr: Defender of Florida's Environment." As a dedicated academic, Peggy holds multiple adjunct professor roles in history at Southern New Hampshire University, Indian River State College, and Stetson University. Previously, Peggy was the Executive Director of Matheson History Museum and served as an Assistant Professor at Florida Polytechnic University. Peggy earned a Ph.D. and an M.A. in History from the University of Florida, where a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies was also obtained at Hollins University.
