Amrita Roy is a Senior Scientific Officer at the Indian Rubber Manufacturers Research Association (IRMRA) since December 2022. Previously, Amrita served as a Project Officer at Birla Carbon from May 2017 to April 2019, focusing on developing natural graphite and graphene-based rubber compositions for various applications. Prior experience includes an internship at CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory, working on graphene preparation and its application in polymer composites, as well as a summer internship at Machino Polymers Limited. Amrita holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Rubber Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, and a Master's degree in Materials Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Patna. Educational background also includes a Bachelor of Technology in Polymer Science and Technology from the University of Calcutta and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from St Paul's Cathedral Mission College.
