Shadra Smith Ed

Shadra D. Smith MS Ed serves as the DEI Coordinator at Cummins Behavioral Health Systems, Inc. since January 2022, where Shadra developed the organization's inaugural DEI statement and strategic plan, facilitates training on health equity, and chairs the DEI Committee, among various responsibilities to promote cultural proficiency. Previous experience includes serving as Associate Dean of Students and Associate Dean for the Center for Diversity and Inclusion at The College of Wooster, where Shadra significantly contributed to DEI initiatives and student support, including the hiring of the first Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer. Shadra’s extensive background in student affairs spans multiple roles at reputable institutions such as Purdue University Fort Wayne and Northwestern University, showcasing a commitment to enhancing diversity and student engagement across campus initiatives. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Education focused on Student Affairs Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Culture from Indiana University Bloomington.
