Graduated from Indiana University Northwest with a degree in Sociology. Michele started her career in this field in 1995 as part-time relief staff at a group home for young women with intellectual disabilities. Worked for the same provider for 6 years as a Direct Support Professional, Group Home Manager, and Social Service Coordinator. Also worked as a coordinator for a DDRS grant that the agency received, which was used to provide information and referrals for individuals with epilepsy and their families. Facilitated support groups for individuals and their families and provided education on epilepsy through presentations to schools, employers, and first responders as well as through attending community health fairs. Embarked on a career in case management in 2002. Since then, Worked as a case manager for individuals on the I/DD waivers, and as an Annual Specialist, Intake Specialist, Case Manager Supervisor, Quality Compliance Manager, and now Assistant Director of Case Management Operations.
