Ashleigh Newbold is a seasoned professional in experiential and grassroots marketing, stakeholder engagement, and community partnerships, currently serving as the Vice President of Engagement at Indiana Sports Corp since January 2017. Newbold has demonstrated expertise in strategic partnership development and fundraising, with previous roles including Director of Engagement & Events, Director of Events, and Sr. Events Manager, particularly for major sporting events such as the Big Ten Basketball Tournaments. Prior experience includes coaching roles at Lawrence North High School and serving as Programs and Exhibits Manager at the Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center. Newbold's earlier career includes leadership in event planning and marketing at The Shoebox and internship experiences at St. Vincent Foundation and YMCA of Greater Indianapolis. A graduate of Hanover College with a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology and Integrative Physiology, Newbold possesses strong skills in staff management, event coordination, and financial oversight.

These sporting events have led to over $4 billion in direct spending in our community over that time period. The Indiana Sports Corp helped elevate the city of Indianapolis from India-a-no-place to the “City Where Champions are Crowned.” Indiana Sports Corp has positively impacted the lives of hundreds of thousands of our citizens, especially our most precious citizens, our children. The Indiana Sports Corp has been and will continue to be a bedrock civic organization upon which the city of Indianapolis and the state of Indiana can continue to grow and flourish. Since 1979, Indianapolis has hosted more than 500 national and international sporting events including the entire NCAA DI Men's Basketball Championship, Super Bowl XLVI in 2012, 18 U.S. Olympic Team Trials and NCAA Championship events in a variety of sports.
