Jonathon Barefoot

Jonathon Barefoot is a seasoned professional in security, safety, and emergency preparedness with extensive experience in healthcare and educational institutions. Currently serving as Vice President of Security, Safety & Disaster Preparedness at Indiana University Health, Jonathon leads security teams and emergency management across 17 hospitals in Indiana. Previously, Jonathon held the position of Vice President of Public Safety & Emergency Preparedness at Ivy Tech Community College, overseeing statewide security initiatives and leading the development of a Public Safety & Emergency Preparedness team. Jonathon's background includes roles in emergency management and law enforcement at various universities and a significant tenure as an instructor for FEMA courses. Jonathon holds a Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership from Western Kentucky University, a Master's Certificate in Digital Mapping from the University of Kentucky, and a Bachelor’s degree in Homeland Security from Eastern Kentucky University.
