Ally Dir

Ally Dir is currently an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Indiana University School of Medicine, where responsibilities include conducting intake interviews and diagnostic assessments for adolescents at the Dual Diagnosis Clinic and providing Schema Therapy for individuals with borderline personality disorder at Wishard Health Services. With a research background as a Postdoctoral Fellow and Research Assistant under Dr. Leslie Hulvershorn focusing on substance abuse and externalizing behaviors, Ally's academic journey includes a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Purdue University and prior degrees in Clinical Psychology and Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Georgia. Additionally, teaching roles at IUPUI encompass health psychology and introductory statistics, with ongoing research interests in risk-taking behaviors, particularly concerning substance use and digital media influences.
