Nkechi Conteh M.D.

Nkechi Conteh MD, MPH is an accomplished psychiatric professional currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Program Director for the BU/BMC Psychiatry Residency at Boston Medical Center since July 2023, alongside the role of Assistant Vice Chair of Education in the Department of Psychiatry. Prior to this, Nkechi Conteh worked at Massachusetts General Hospital from June 2020 to July 2023 as an Attending Psychiatrist and held positions as Associate and Assistant Program Director in the MGH/McLean Psychiatry Residency. Past experiences include a Psychiatry Residency at Duke University Hospital and a Post-Doctoral Research Associate role at Baylor College of Medicine. Nkechi Conteh’s early career also includes significant contributions as a Project Manager at the University of Texas Health Science Center and as a Research Associate at Brigham and Women's Hospital. Educational credentials include a Master of Public Health in Global Health from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Ibadan.
