Andrew Templin, PhD, is an accomplished academic and researcher in the fields of medicine and physiology, currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine and as an Assistant Investigator at Indiana Biosciences Research Institute since June 2020. Additionally, Andrew holds the position of Research Scientist at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs since April 2019. Previous roles include Acting Instructor and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Washington, where research focused on metabolism and nutrition. Andrew earned a PhD in Cell and Integrative Physiology with a concentration in Diabetes and Obesity from Indiana University School of Medicine, after completing a BS in Biology and a minor in Chemistry and Business at Indiana University Bloomington. Early career experience includes working as a Research Technician at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.
