Deborah Cowley

Deborah Cowley serves as the Director of Academic Administration at Indiana University School of Medicine (IU-SOM) since May 2001, overseeing the office and its academic departments across multiple campuses. Responsibilities include supervising faculty information systems, supporting faculty appointments, and providing executive leadership in faculty affairs. Previously, Deborah held various roles at IU-SOM, including Manager of Human Resources and Academic Administration and Human Resources Specialist, where leadership in academic policy and faculty support was provided. With a career at Indiana University dating back to 1972, Deborah has extensive experience in administrative and human resource management, including roles in grant coordination and program development. Deborah holds degrees from Indiana University, completed between 1970 and 1974.
