Ted Fries

Ted Fries currently serves as the Chief of Police for the Indianapolis Airport Authority, a position held since June 2022. Prior to this role, Ted Fries was the Director of Safety and Security at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and INDYCAR from January 2017 to May 2022. Earlier in their career, Ted Fries held the position of Commander in the IMPD Homeland Security Division from August 2010 to January 2017. Ted Fries earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration from the College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services at the University of Cincinnati between 1984 and 1987.
